The Canola Oil Conundrum

LEGACY FAVORITES
The first real answer to why we use it is simply because it is in a bunch of our legacy products - items we have been baking for 15+ years. To change it would be tough but not impossible. However we do have customers who LOVE the products that contain canola oil and making a change is a little dicey as there would be a pretty dramatic change in both taste and texture.

Thank you for taking the time to provided the info regarding your use of Canola oil. I’m not a fan of Canola oil and would gladly pay higher prices for your products if replaced with other oils such as Olive, Avocado, Coconut oils.

Canola is a hard no for us. I understand your explanation. It’s hard to have efficacy is all oils. Next thing you hear that you aren’t even getting olive oil or avocado oil that they are actually a seed oil. It’s heart wrenching actually. I appreciate your explanation and your efforts at keeping with integrity of your ingredients. Blessings to you.

Thank you for this explanation. I get it. However, I am very excited about your canola oil breads, but I’m hesitant to buy them. I’m still deciding… I personally would gladly pay more for these breads if they contained a more healthy oil. It might make sense to offer both varieties, at different price points, and let people choose? Or that might be far too much work🙂

you explained it… not sure yet if i will buy it, i usually use Ghee for all my cooking needs, i make my own Ghee… don’t know if that would work for all your breads that require canola…
