Hello Berlin Natural Bakery Family! 

Thank you for staying in touch and giving us the opportunity to share what's happening in our worlds and why shipping is so jammed up right now.

On Wednesday October 29th we had our Cyber Sale which is our biggest sale of the year. We do more than a month's worth of orders in one single day which is absolutely astounding however... it does logistically take a bit of a toll on us. 😬

In moments like these I'd like to take a moment to remind you that we are not automated in any way. Everything we bake, pack and ship is done by human hands! 💪 And truly there are only so many hours in a day and only so much we can bake within a workday. We’re at our max even though we begin our day at 1:30am and end it around 5pm. 

This means when we get 600+ orders in one single day it takes us a minute to get our bearings and get things baked AND shipped in a timely manner! 

And then what we’ve also seen is customers who didn’t take a part of the sale or who order afterwards getting frustrated because our normal turnaround becomes soooo much longer. But this sale is why! 

So if you are ordering after October 29th please give us at minimum 2-3 weeks to fulfill your order. We are fulfilling all orders as they come in and so we will be working quickly and strategically to make sure everyone’s orders arrive in optimal condition! 

Another thing to note…. Beyond being an actual, honest-to-goodness small batch bakery with no automation, we’re also a tiny but mighty office team. 🙂And we will have our hands full printing out orders and shipping labels and also likely doing double time out in production to support them in this time. This means that we would so appreciate it if we got as few phone calls and emails as possible. 🙏

So to sum it all up: 

YES! We have gotten your order. 

YES! We are working on shipping your order.

YES! Everything is ok on our end.

YES! We will ship your order as soon as humanly possible. 

YES! You should get an email from FedEx/UPS when your order ships.

NO! If your order is marked as “fulfilled” online that does NOT mean it’s shipped. Fulfilled means we’ve printed it. 

As always, thank you for being the most kind, understanding, generous, patient and honorable customers ever! Providing you with your daily bread is such an honor and we continue to be amazed and humbled by the impact our breads have across the country. ❤️

Maintaining the standards of those who have come before us remains our first and most critical priority.
