Season's Greeting Berlin Natural Bakery Family! 

Wow! What a year it has been. Just when you think you’ve dealt with all the “unprecedented” the world has to offer and then BAM! 2022 appears with its own unique set of challenges and circumstances that leave you upended! It seems impossible to get through and then suddenly you end another year amazed that you made it through and so incredibly blessed by a year of learning, repositioning and a new richness in relationships.

We’ve tried to be transparent with our struggles this year but as we get ready to close the chapter on 2022, I’d love to write about all we are grateful for. 

First, we are so grateful to have recently added some incredible GEMS to our Berlin Natural Bakery team. We have obviously been understaffed but we made a few new hires that have given some new liveliness to both our packaging and baking departments! Change oftentimes seems scary and there were definitely moments this year of “yikes! We need more hands. How are we going to do this?” But thankfully we’ve got a spectacular group of people on our hands and we’re so incredibly close to having a full roster once again!

To piggyback off of that, I’d be remiss not to highlight and honor our incredible leaders who literally stood in the gap while we were on the lookout for new hires. Our General Manager Cindy and our Operations Manager Karl are truly examples of excellence and honor and commitment and extraordinary leadership. They spent a lot of time in the trenches - this year and many others - and their presence was inspiring and uplifting even during the Cyber Monday avalanche sale! 

Speaking of Cyber Monday - WOWZA! Now that was one doozy of a sale and we couldn’t be more in awe of the response to it. A record breaking Cyber Monday that leaves us feeling humble and grateful. It wasn’t without its challenges but we couldn’t be more grateful for your support, your kindness and your patience as we dug ourselves out of that incredible avalanche! 

This truly is the type of year that creates refinement and resilience. The kind of year that develops leaders and confidence and extraordinary faith because despite the odds, we’ve made it through. We’ve weathered literal storms, we’ve gotten creative, we’ve grown, we’ve dug deep and we’ve made it to the holidays. We have continued doing what’s right even when it isn’t easy and we excitedly look forward to 2023. 

So we raise a “toast” to you and your family! To your health and your growth and your peace! May you have a gentle holiday season that ushers in a New Year of happy memories and joy!

It is by far our biggest sale of the year so you definitely don't want to miss out! To give a little context - we're doing this a few weeks early to avoid any shipping delays the week after Thanksgiving AND so that you have your favorite Spelt items on hand for your Thanksgiving meal!

Happiest of Octobers to the Berlin Natural Bakery Family! 

Oh my goodness, we can't even begin to think of you without feeling such immense gratitude and joy for your ongoing support, your kind reviews and your patience as we've been sailing through these unprecedented seas! 

We are happy to report that even though this has been an incredibly trying year for us, we've been able to keep afloat and are beginning to see some smoother sailing as we continue forward into BREAD SEASON! That's my term for hunkering down at home during the chilly months ahead. 

Something about Fall always leaves us all feeling a little nostalgic so we've decided to lean into that and run a last minute, quick special on some of our classic, favorite loaves of bread.

Our Traditional Sourdough, our Classic White and our Whole Grain Spelt breads are three long term favorites in our Spelt bread lineup. They are steady and stable and they have yet to disappoint. All 3 of them are hearty and nourishing - perfect for the days ahead when we'll likely see a little less sunshine. 

Even though they are very different from each other, they each bring their own deliciousness and worthiness to the table!

LEGACY FAVORITES
The first real answer to why we use it is simply because it is in a bunch of our legacy products - items we have been baking for 15+ years. To change it would be tough but not impossible. However we do have customers who LOVE the products that contain canola oil and making a change is a little dicey as there would be a pretty dramatic change in both taste and texture.
